MC PICTURES originally started out as Moments Captured Video, which was formed in 1993.  At that time, along with my new job at a video production company, my son, Brandon was born and the goal to capture all of his moments in life began with my first video feature, "Brandon James Wong: His Journey to Earth". The concept of capturing and preserving his life moments lead the way to my company's name, "Moments Captured Video".  By the time I finished producing my daughter Carissa's 12th feature, "Carissa's Wonderful Journey", I had already accumulated over 23 video features highlighting their lives as well as others usually structured with movies themes as a background. Today Moments Captured Video is rebranded as MC PICTURES, which have produced over 70 features and counting.  The ultimate goal of MC Pictures is not only to entertain and bring families together but to forever capture and preserve special moments of people and their lives, that in a blink of an eye, will disappear forever.

MY BACKGROUND​

​During my years in high school, I began writing and directing skits for school plays and assemblies and later dove into film production since I was fascinated with with Hollywood and foreign films. Although my film career didn't materialized, I found a middle ground career in video production, which allows me to create, edit and direct as I would on a film production set only on a smaller scale. As video technology grew, so did my skills. I started as a linear video editor, (Analog edit decks with an edit controller) to a Non-Linear Editor (Computer editing). What I found valuable was that the concepts that I learned as a Linear Editor make the transition to being a Non-Linear Editor seamless. In fact, I was fascinated with how Non-Linear editing simplify the process of video editing along with the application of transitions, compositing and special effects. Eventually, I learn how to successfully incorporate graphic and animation software such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Livetype, Motion into my productions by spending hours experimenting with them in my hobby projects before I actually utilize them successfully on my client's project. At the present, I'm still constantly experimenting with my edit tools and animation graphic skills in order to expand my skills and knowledge in order to keep up with the rapid growth and evolving style of video editing technology.

Aside from creating and editing videos, which always provides me with a sense of pleasure and euphoria, I always strive to balance my life with other meaningful activities such as family time, basketball, biking, music recordings and observing the latest Hollywood films in order to discover the latest in editing techniques, style and what really captures the audience's attention. As the famous writer, Thomas Merton once quoted, "Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony."This quote truly reflects what my life and work is all about.
